Fluffies by TheSkyWasPink

I love the fluffies from TheSkyWasPink (link here), an Etsy seller based out of Denver CO. I got a pair of the aqua glittery ones in October - they're very soft and warm! I'm thinking of getting a rainbow pair (as seen above). If anything, they're fun costume pieces that can fit people of a variety of sizes (there's elastic at the top to keep them from falling down). They also come in a ton of colors - check them out!

Shark Week!

The shark hat, created by Josh Freeman (AKA ObeyMyBrain on Etsy) playfully bites on your scull and keeps your head warm! This soft and scary creature will provide a not-so-menacing underwater experience and will keep those ears from freezing during the winter. And don't forget to check out shark hat's friend - the squid hat (link here)!

Josh also has a blog (link here), facebook fan page (link here), and a photography site (link here).

Octopus-Inspired Home Decor

I know this isn't really fashion-related - but I'm in a nautical mood.

This suction cupped sculpture was made by ArtAkimbo (found on Etsy here) from Redding, Connecticut. ArtAkimbo makes a variety of surreal, anthropomorphic figures that may remind you of some of Dada's work. With a focus on creatures of the sea and human noses, any one of their pieces would make an excellent conversation piece!

ArtAkimbo is also a member of the EtsyDarkTeam. Link here: www.etsydarkteam.webs.com

GothSocks by RainyDaysWoolyDogs

I found a blog post about a woman on Etsy who hand dyes yarn with a Goth inspiration! Stephanie is from Washington and markets her yarn specifically for knitting socks. Even though the yarn could be used for anything, it's very fun and fashionable to select a specific product for her material. The photo of her yarn show booth displays perfectly striped socks (very Wizard of Oz) and an array of colors that could make a very gothy rainbow! Here is the link to her page on Etsy and this is the blog post I found the original story at (written by Melissa Hochschild).
